Are top shot and deadliest warrior any alike?

My room mates and I are having an argument over how the tv shows Top Shot and Deadliest Warrior are alike. Now I have never seen Deadliest Warrior, but from what I hear it is not a reality show like Top Shot is. My friends are arguing that Deadliest Warrior has a type of layout like Top Shot where two people compete against each other to see who is the better man. What do you guys think?Are top shot and deadliest warrior any alike?
Deadliest Warrior is a hypothetical match up between warriors from other times and countries and pits them head to head to see who would win. They bring in weapons historians and combat experts specifically trained in ancient combat weapons and tactics. After rateing weapons, armor fighting style ect they feed the data into a simulator and have to combatants fight it out 100 times. Whoever wins the most battles is declared Deadliest Warrior.



Example:

Spartan Warrior vs. Ninja

Yakuza vs. Mafia

William Wallace vs. Shaka Zulu



Top Shot is a contest between shooters trained in various weapons (guns, bows and arrows ect).



The two shows are completely different.
