I STRONGLY believe that Napoleon would destroy George Washington. If George Washington would win is because of the bias in the show towards the United States. Napoleon Bonaparte, hands down. You only have to look at the moves Napoleon pulled at Ulm and Austerlitz.
Washington was a great leader, and good strategist, but in terms of tactics, he is nowhere near in the same league as Boney.
Any sane historian would say that Napoleon would crush Washington, as Washington was actually average at best as a military commander, while Napoleon was totally brilliant.
Many answerers forget that Napoleon didn't start as an Emperor. The first army he led (the French army of Italy) was ill-equipped and demoralized, and with it he annihilated much bigger forces and changed warfare forever. Note that he was barely 26 years old and inexperienced.
The armies he led after that were incredible, because he made them that way, nobody gave them to him.

I would say Napoleon. Washington wasn't all that good at winning battles. He won enough, but he wasn't the fearsome opponent that Napoleon was. Washington's success was in simply keeping the Continental Army intact when they nearly got wiped out so many times, until the British gave up continuing to spend the money to try to squash them.
On the other hand, Washington only had ragtag colonial militias to work with, haphazardly trained and poorly equipped, while Napoleon had the world's most advanced professional soldiery to lead. I think Napoleon will win, but only by a little. Why? Because Napoleon was more violent and had better resources. However, if it is a team on team battle, George Washington just might win because of his strategy. Remember, America was only supplied with the arms they could hand make or gather from the British. He also had poorly trained troops. Napoleon had a trained army, enough supplies, and fought well. Don't get me wrong, I'm not being prejudiced, because I am an American who lives in New York, so I think George Washington was amazing.
Napoleon didnt successfully defeat the spanish guerilla warfare he was in russia and it wasnt going too well the same could be said for george washington against Little Turtle. George was already losing he had to ask for french help. Napoleon can win on his own.
In a one on one battle, George Washington would win. But if they are leading troops, Napoleon would win due to more advanced weapons. The matchup shouldve been American Revolution soldier vs Napoleonic War soldier.
I agree with you, Napoleon was probably the greatest soldier who ever lived. He almost took over the world!
Washington would hand him his ***. George was a great warrior and well respected by his foes and friends alike. Washington was a great strategist. I think Washington would find a way to win in any situation and that Napoleon's Arrogance would be his ultimate undoing. We all know pride goes before a fall and Napoleon was not short on pride.
I honestly think GW will beat Napoleon. Not just because I'm an American, but because of Washington's strategies and his ability to be a strong leader even through the hard times way back. I guess we'll see the results tomorrow.

Deadliest Warrior simply looks back and compares all the fighting styles of warriors from every place and era. The battles are done in computer simulation and no real battles are fought. What was your favorite episode of Deadliest Warrior and what episode do you think they might have gotten wrong?
in my opinion the show is very unaccurate even though I still enjoy it. Things wrong with the episodes:
Apache vs Gladiator:
1: The gladiator would either have no armor or no net/trident
2:gladiators only had 1 weapon, little armor, and maybe a shield depending on what type they were
Spartan vs Ninja
1: you can't accuratly judge the suprise factor
2: the black egg would have been a kill every time it hit cuz your not gonna recover instantly with glass in your eye
3: Spartans fought in groups
Pirate vs Knight
1: one shot hitting the LARGE horse would cause it to fall, seriously injuring or killing the knight
2: a knight's sword would go right through a pirate
3: a pirate would run not stand his ground
Green beret vs Spetznaz
1: the green beret would also have his k-bar knife. Why the hell would he pick a shovel over that? (I'm in jrotc and my colonel has never heard of anyone using a e-tool as a weapon)
2: green berets had better training
Shaolin Monk vs Maori Warrior
1: they put a tribesman against soMeone with steel weapons
2: the monks won only because the twin hooks chewed up a gel torso
William Wallace vs Shaka Zulu
1: Shaka Zulu is a GOD
2: that claymore is frickin' overrated I could dodge that
3: Shaka conquered half of Africa Wallace rebeled against England. Both went against enemies with equal tech. Which is a more impressive feat?

The show is called DEADLIEST warrior. Meaning it's not who has the best technology but who is the best at using what they have. The Spetsnaz don't have a lot of current technology but they perform the same missions Green Berets do with what they have. They proved they can do what our SpecOps guys can do but without fancy scopes, lights, and computers.
I am American, so of course I wish the Berets would've won. Although the Spetsnaz are a ruthless breed of soldier that I wish no man has to face.
I think that the Green Berets should have won also. They portray the Spetsnaz as being really tough, but their not tough really as they are brute. The Green Berets are smart and tactical and know how to attack and think quickly and adapt to a situation. Also, Green Beret's do endure tough training in mock POW camps where, if the information that I read is correct, experience torture they may face if caught by the enemy and nothing else during the training. But the Spetsnaz although maybe tougher than the Green Berets, aren't trained to adapt and think quickly in a situation as much as they are to simply use their brute strength. Anyways the Green Beret, with their wit, should have been the winners. Also, this wasn't exactly a good match up because the two kind of do different missions. Green Beret, although do train for CQB, focus more on Force Multiplication and Recon, stuff like that, while Spetsnaz are trained more for close quarter combat. A better match up could be Navy SEAL's vs Spetsnaz or Delta Force vs Spetsnaz since they do focus a lot more on close quarter combat, especially Delta Force, and in the show they do put them in a close quarter combat environment. Had it been in a larger area, then even more reason for why the Green Beret should have won.What, Spetsnaz can beat a Green Beret, anyone else find "Deadliest Warrior" to be a bunch of crap?
No, it isn't a likely scenario, but Spetsnaz agents have always been up there in the world's special forces. I saw the show and the tests they used were wildly inacurate such as blowing up one grenade inside of a washing machine and the other in a field and then expecting to draw a realistic conclusion from that? Its just a show made for entertainment

The show is called DEADLIEST warrior. Meaning it's not who has the best technology but who is the best at using what they have. The Spetsnaz don't have a lot of current technology but they perform the same missions Green Berets do with what they have. They proved they can do what our SpecOps guys can do but without fancy scopes, lights, and computers.
I am American, so of course I wish the Berets would've won. Although the Spetsnaz are a ruthless breed of soldier that I wish no man has to face.
I think that the Green Berets should have won also. They portray the Spetsnaz as being really tough, but their not tough really as they are brute. The Green Berets are smart and tactical and know how to attack and think quickly and adapt to a situation. Also, Green Beret's do endure tough training in mock POW camps where, if the information that I read is correct, experience torture they may face if caught by the enemy and nothing else during the training. But the Spetsnaz although maybe tougher than the Green Berets, aren't trained to adapt and think quickly in a situation as much as they are to simply use their brute strength. Anyways the Green Beret, with their wit, should have been the winners. Also, this wasn't exactly a good match up because the two kind of do different missions. Green Beret, although do train for CQB, focus more on Force Multiplication and Recon, stuff like that, while Spetsnaz are trained more for close quarter combat. A better match up could be Navy SEAL's vs Spetsnaz or Delta Force vs Spetsnaz since they do focus a lot more on close quarter combat, especially Delta Force, and in the show they do put them in a close quarter combat environment. No, it isn't a likely scenario, but Spetsnaz agents have always been up there in the world's special forces. I saw the show and the tests they used were wildly inacurate such as blowing up one grenade inside of a washing machine and the other in a field and then expecting to draw a realistic conclusion from that? Its just a show made for entertainment

Is Deadliest Warrior going to be cancelled?
I read that the host of the show, Robert Daly had resigned after admitting that he lied about serving in the U.S. Army Special Forces and about being a Green Beret. The series will continue without him. He didn't really have an active role in the show, he just designed the combat software. There's still Mac, Geoff, and Doctor Dorian. Besides Daly wasn't 100% lying, he did work in Army Intelligence.

I think the Spetnaz won fair and square. Most people are all annoyed that they won but personally not me.The green berets werid tench shovel was one of the weirdest weapons I have ever seen. But, in the battlefield the Spetnaz would win if you think of tactics. Also it was a close fight so the green beret would win some times. It's just he didn't kill more times than the Spetnaz. It was only 7 kills that was the difference. I think if the green Beret did not bring the shovel and brought a knife it would have been a different fight. So many people are complaining about it. The computer program is great and everyone is not facing the truth. Boo hoo the Americans didn't win. I'm American and I'm not complaining. Nice episode though.
The makarov is a 9mm yes but its not a 9mm luger cartridge as such the pistol rating was skewed. The entrenchment tool took off a head. I have seen people stabbed and fight on but never without a head.
I agree the Mak is not as good as the 92FS but the Saiga 12 is lightyears ahead of the mossberg also the Saiga use was a sporting version not a military version. The GB used and M-4 with optic and was out shot by a Spetznas using an AK-74 with open sights. The shotguns should have run the same cours

Army SF is the most highly trained Non Tier 1 Special Operations Unit in the United States Military. We have great training, better weapons and a more logical way of training them. Also did you see the Spetsnaz guy rolling around and lying on his back shooting that was the most retarded thing I have ever seen. That could be what caused him to be so innacurate at shooting. Like mentioned below the show uses flawed testing at times to get iffy results. I didn't like how they tested the shotguns and grenades in situations. What good does it do to test one shotgun on a single stationary pig and then test the other in a timed situation with multiple targets? If they had tested them on the same situations then you would know exactly how much faster or stronger each weapon was over the other. The same thing with the grenades.
They put too much emphasis on the pistol match up. The green beret missing the targets did not help. That probably skewed the results. Do not underestimate the Spetsnaz ask any Chechen terrorist what he thinks about them.

When they give a weapon the title of "the edge", it has no reflection on the data input into the program. "The edge" is simply for the show. The program relies specifically on the data generated and the success rate of the controlled tests. It's all mathematically configured.
There's been plenty of times where the weapons they gave the edge too had less kills than the one they didn't give the edge to in the battle simulator's results. If you watch he show again, that is if they ever replay the reruns, pay attention to the amount of kills and with which weapon.
sigh they take their arbitrary unscientific data put it into an excell spreadsheet and then act out a dance routine about the results

i find it extremely entertaining to watch but dont consider it 100% accurate. in my opinion it's the gladiator vs apache.|||It's entertaining, I watch it when time allows. But like you I don't believe the outcomes are always accurate or even important. The cool thing about it is seeing what the various weapons are capable of and the amount of damage they can, or cannot, inflict on ballistic gel torsos and those poor dead pigs
The most unrealistic episode? I dunno, haven't seen them all. But in a fight between gladiator and apache my money would be on the Indian. The historical apache warrior was a tough,sneaky,cold hearted S.O.B who was absolutely no good at giving up.
The fact that my heritage is part Native American has nothing at all to do with my opinion (Cough,cough).|||Most inaccurate show historically speaking. I'm so pissed at them for the epic failures of the Centurion versus rajput, in which they didn't mention that everything the Romans had was meant to stop hacking weapons (like the Rapjuts primary sword) and to kill these types of one on one fighters. They also didn't even talk about the genius of the pilum, but instead thought it would not go through a shield because the shield was good. THe pilum was never a shield piercing weapon, it was meant to bend so that the enemy had to throw their shield away, giving the centurion a great advantage. Also, who brings a ballista to 1v1? That was the most unrealistic episode.
Now i'm pissed from the rangers episode in which they had a failure of a hand to hand analysis. They only did one scenario, where the ranger was at his best versus a NKSOF at his worst, and called it a wash (despite not really calling it a wash and giving the rangers the advantage). In reality, the NKSOF should've demolished the rangers in hand to hand, no contest. The NKSOF have more hours in hand to hand and better training. Yet these idiots don't even look at the reality of a situation. Not once did they mention that M4s jam in adverse conditions, thus meaning the ranger could be without a gun, thus making their hand to hand completely useless.|||I love it and I hate it.
I can't stand that bioengineer a$$ that has to give the most dramatic countdowns to each experiment. The doctor is a moron who tends to state the very obvious, but he does drop some knowledge sometimes so he's okay
The way they measure the capabilities of the fighters has improved with the most recent season so I give it a thumbs up.
I don't like some of the matchups they put together as well, they put people against each other that lived in completely different eras. The one I thought was pretty dumb was the Pirate vs Knight. How do you pair up someone who has a gun vs someone who doesn't...Really?|||Mostly I wish I had their budget so we could do some actual scientific tests that would benefit the martial arts community.
I think the biggest flaw is the lack of the actual scientific method in their tests. For example, one year they had Spetznaz vs. IRA. In the pistol testing, the guy on the Spetznaz team was actually a fully-train Spetzaz veteran. The IRA guy? A descendant of one of the founders of the IRA and a historian. They judged the Spetznaz weapon to be more accurate, but the difference was clearly that a trained elite military soldier was handling that weapon, while the IRA's weapon was being handled by a guy who writes books for a living. Another example includes testing one guy's sword against a ballistics gel torso and another guy's sword against a pig. You're not holding the weapons to the same standard if you're not testing them both on the same material.
With that said, it's still fun to watch for the entertainment value. I am occasionally impressed by some of their tests (who knew the Aztec's cotton armor could stand up to an arrow?) and they've included more historical information this season. And I have to admit that one of the most fun parts of the show is separating the BS from the good stuff. My roommate and I watch it religiously.
As for the most unrealistic episode? Centurion vs. Rajput. I think the guys got swayed by the exotic weapons, even though they didn't seem as efficient as the Centurion's.|||I really like the show, but there are a TON of things that they just still don't take into consideration. They covered some, a few, of them with the new x-factor deal, but I have to question their choice of a number system. If 100 equals the ultimate warrior, that means 1 is the most pisspoor toilet paper warrior there is, so in actuality it's a numeric of 50-100, 50 being a plain average and 75 being in the real playing field. I'm not sure if they realize this.

One thing that really upset me was the episode a couple weeks ago: United States Army Rangers vs. North Korean Special Operations Forces. The H2H was flawed. The Ranger's H2H still consisted of their gun which I found defeated the point of H2H lit. Hand to Hand. That just didn't make much sense at all to me. There no sense in creating distance when you don't have a gun to fire. That wasn't true H2H at all. What if the Ranger truly didn't have any rounds left? Seriously!
Many of their "professionals" for the pre-gunpoweder episodes aren't professionals at all. Many look like they've never swung a sword in their life until right then. It's pathetic, but that's the data that gets calculated. Go figure.
I still like watching for who they do figure who wins, and just for the history and weapons information. It's a really nice show that way. Armand Dorian is probably my favorite guy on there. I always love hearing the medical and physiological side to it all, plus I like the way he thinks.|||honestly it has less scientific value than the old will it float sketch on david letterman
at least then you could get repeatable results also any episode in which they use firearms is questionable as are just about every time they talk about armor

With this 3rd season, they're really being biased with who should win rather than assessing the two warriors no matter what they have done in the past (Washington vs Napoleon %26amp; Rangers vs SOF for example)
I've spoken with a number of the experts like Barry Jacobson(Spartan Historian), Tetsuro Shigematsu, (Samurai Historian), Zero Kazima(Yakuza weapons expert and the Ninja actor) and Jared Wihongi (Maori Weapons expert) and they said that there was alot of things wrong with the show. Zero said that alot of the episodes were pre-planned so that one warrior will win over the other. The other warrior was a fallback. The Maori vs Shaolin was planned for the Monk to win because everyone wanted the Monk to be on the show and so was the Pirate vs Knight.
Jared Wihongi, a SWAT operator and Special Forces trainer said that the director was the one who told everyone what to do, how to act, what to say and who should have heat with who. So Jared and Seamus felt that they weren't getting the chance to say what the Maori were really like.
Sonny Puzikas (Spetsnaz expert) a former Spetsnaz special forces operator and now a Systema teacher in California spoke about the show saying that they didn't care to much about the warriors themselves and just the weapons.
The most unrealistic episode is easily the Spartan vs Ninja episode.
The most annoying episode is the Shaolin vs Maori (But the fight at the end of the episode is the best.)
The only good episode is Green Berets vs Spetsnaz because it was the first episode to actually have legitimate experts for both teams(The Apache experts(Snakeblocker and Alan Tafoya) were legitimate but the Gladiator experts weren't)

Many of their "professionals" for the pre-gunpoweder episodes aren't professionals at all. Many look like they've never swung a sword in their life until right then. It's pathetic, but that's the data that gets calculated. Go figure.
I still like watching for who they do figure who wins, and just for the history and weapons information. It's a really nice show that way. Armand Dorian is probably my favorite guy on there. With this 3rd season, they're really being biased with who should win rather than assessing the two warriors no matter what they have done in the past (Washington vs Napoleon %26amp; Rangers vs SOF for example)
I've spoken with a number of the experts like Barry Jacobson(Spartan Historian), Tetsuro Shigematsu, (Samurai Historian), Zero Kazima(Yakuza weapons expert and the Ninja actor) and Jared Wihongi (Maori Weapons expert) and they said that there was alot of things wrong with the show. Zero said that alot of the episodes were pre-planned so that one warrior will win over the other. The other warrior was a fallback. The Maori vs Shaolin was planned for the Monk to win because everyone wanted the Monk to be on the show and so was the Pirate vs Knight.
Jared Wihongi, a SWAT operator and Special Forces trainer said that the director was the one who told everyone what to do, how to act, what to say and who should have heat with who. So Jared and Seamus felt that they weren't getting the chance to say what the Maori were really like.
Sonny Puzikas (Spetsnaz expert) a former Spetsnaz special forces operator and now a Systema teacher in California spoke about the show saying that they didn't care to much about the warriors themselves and just the weapons.
The most unrealistic episode is easily the Spartan vs Ninja episode.
The most annoying episode is the Shaolin vs Maori (But the fight at the end of the episode is the best.)
The only good episode is Green Berets vs Spetsnaz because it was the first episode to actually have legitimate experts for both teams(The Apache experts(Snakeblocker and Alan Tafoya) were legitimate but the Gladiator experts weren't)

I'd like answers from people who bought it and played the full thing. How does it play? Is it like tekken 6?How is the new Deadliest Warrior game?
It is a little frustrating at first, but it gets good after you "earn" more weapons in arcade mode for your warriors. some weapons that are used were not featured in the show. One thing that triped me out was how to use the special attacks, for example the pirate granado attack. it is not pressing b then y, it is pressing them at THE SAME TIME. Still, the combos are so much easier in this game then in mortal kombat. None of that, up up down down back down y a back jump punch kick bull sh^t, the combos are just up to like four buttons, and you don't have to worry about timing. Although, if you are injured in certain areas for example the arm or leg, you cannot use certain combos (personally, I like that, an actual challenge, not an MK challenge of your ability to mash buttons).
It is not necessarily accurate to the show, as the Apache warrior, I can devastate the Spartan or Centurion with just tomahawks make out of horse jawbone.
I think the game costs 400 ecksbawcks points so it is cheap.
There is copious gore and swearing on a part of the pirate ("you want some? F#ck you!!", "hope there aren't any ninjas to see this sh#t").
I don't know what tekken 6 is. Personally, due to it's relative cheapness, and it't online play, it is worth it.

Nothing like Tekken actually, its trying to be more realistic so there are no crazy over the top moves. Plus for realism you can kill in 1 hit if its to the head or other major organs. You can also take out lims so they can not walk or dodge anymore, and in some modes you can cut them off. The difficulty isn't to bad as its easy enough to learn which moves and combos hit where, but its still pretty fun. Think Bushido blade if you ever played that game before, may be before your time though. Its kind of old

The deadliest warrior simulation is weak and historically challenged to say the least. I would only want to see it if they actually got things correct. For example, during the rajput versus centurion, they didn't mention that the roman armor was designed specifically to stop people who attempted to slash at you, and that a Roman could easily get in close with the shield and stab the rajput, thus making the rajputs "best" weapon, the arakand, useless. They really need some work.
I'm also super ticked that they didn't even mention that the pilum did it's job perfectly. it was never meant to go through a shield and kill. The pilum's tip was hard metal, but the connector was soft metal on purpose so that the spear would stick into the shield. The deadliest warrior simulation is weak and historically challenged to say the least. I would only want to see it if they actually got things correct. For example, during the rajput versus centurion, they didn't mention that the roman armor was designed specifically to stop people who attempted to slash at you, and that a Roman could easily get in close with the shield and stab the rajput, thus making the rajputs "best" weapon, the arakand, useless. They really need some work.
I'm also super ticked that they didn't even mention that the pilum did it's job perfectly. it was never meant to go through a shield and kill. The pilum's tip was hard metal, but the connector was soft metal on purpose so that the spear would stick into the shield. This would cause the attacking foes to be forced to throw away their shields, making it easier for the legionnaire to stab and maneuver.You think Deadliest warrior should simulate All time martial artist in fights and?

The AK74 is a good gun, and is better than the AKM and AK47, and while its close to being as good as the M4, its not. M4 is more accurate and easyer to handle. Im not saying the AK74 is a bad gun though, just not as good as the M4. The reason most countries dont US the AR series of rifles is because they are too expensive. And combloc guns are a dime a dozen.

A pigs body is more sturdy than a mans body, how is it going to be a fair test if you use sword A on a pig body and sword B on a faux human body, if they are the same size and weight, guess which one will lose... I saw part of an episode the other day comparing Vlad the Impaler's sword vs. Sun Tzu's, (Think that's his name, the Chinese warlord that wrote the book on warfare tactics that is still being used today). I want to give them suggestions for new episodes. I am disappointed that the ninja lost against the Spartan and i think it was incorrect. The ninja would not stand there for two seconds staring at his projectiles while the spartan closed in. I agree that the battle scene was absolutely biased and pretty silly. Examples:
- The ninja yelled and signaled his first attack, and furthermore, why wouldn't he use a poison dart on an unsuspecting target?
- The spartan was hit with a black egg, which would blind him or at the very least flood his eyes with blood/tears, and 2 second later he's fine and unaffected.
- The ninja stands in the middle of the Spartan's line of sight and shoots off his darts and shurikens, so obviously the Spartan is going to block those frontal attacks.
There's also the fact that a ninja would never take on a Spartan in standard one on one battle. They use guerrilla tactics, not straight up fighting.
The show pretty much lost all credibility with that episode (and the episode in which they said the Apache would win)

edit: Also I noticed that Wallace had to go to the African Savannah for the fight to take place. This is because if Shaka went to Scotland he would have froze with his grass skirt as his only clothing. Not only that, his melanin wouldn't work under the overcast. So Wallace won even though Shaka had home-field advantage.

I understand that the eyes are weak points and that as a result many of history's warriors attacked them. But why do they have to show eye attacks in every ad? Not 100 percent correct. i am a programmer and this is how they do it. It is a programming and math thing... The weapons are graded on how deadly it is and given a variable. So if the sword with a stab hit is rated 100 or greatest power and a slash rated 25 with mid power and a poke with the handle a 2 with minimum power and anything in between. That is how a warrior is graded with that weapon. Then that grade vs the opponent and their defensive variables and weapons variables.
This makes the warrior different ultimate points. Kind of like an athlete having a good day or a bad day. A single warrior can range from 100 points {best day} to 3 points{worst day} and anything in between. His opponent can range from 85 on best day and 35 on worst day and anything in between. Think of it as like rolling dice.
The computer takes the warriors and arrange battles 1000 times or 1000 rolls of the dice. At the end, you will get a winner of how many time the warrior won over the opponent.

First of all the bald guy who is the supposed "tactical expert" pisses me off because he acts like he himself invented warfare and that he knows everything when really he knows nothing and I don't care about all of the tactical segments that he has and they take away time from weapons, so there are less weapons. i have deadliest warrior 1 and its great to play with a friend...i wouldnt recomend it if you are going to play by yourself though it gets boring quite easy but it is good fun with friends
