When they give a weapon the title of "the edge", it has no reflection on the data input into the program. "The edge" is simply for the show. The program relies specifically on the data generated and the success rate of the controlled tests. It's all mathematically configured.
There's been plenty of times where the weapons they gave the edge too had less kills than the one they didn't give the edge to in the battle simulator's results. If you watch he show again, that is if they ever replay the reruns, pay attention to the amount of kills and with which weapon.
sigh they take their arbitrary unscientific data put it into an excell spreadsheet and then act out a dance routine about the results

Their system is flawed. the show is for entertainment, and in no way indicates winners. Just a bunch of BS to sell the show. BS is their edge.
