The AK74 is a good gun, and is better than the AKM and AK47, and while its close to being as good as the M4, its not. M4 is more accurate and easyer to handle. Im not saying the AK74 is a bad gun though, just not as good as the M4. The reason most countries dont US the AR series of rifles is because they are too expensive. And combloc guns are a dime a dozen.



And how the hell did the persians beat the celts (Im Celtic by heritage)?



The thing that annoys me about that show is that they do different tests for the same type of weapon. A pigs body is more sturdy than a mans body, how is it going to be a fair test if you use sword A on a pig body and sword B on a faux human body, if they are the same size and weight, guess which one will lose... The one used on the pig body. They arent consistent enough for me to take them seriously.
The show is so goddamned stupid.



Green Beret vs. Spetznatz? Sorry, but the Spetznatz all would've had their throats slit before they knew what was happening.



James Gang vs. Al Capone? It would've been over as soon as Capone and his cronies entered the building. A couple guys who know their way around a single action Colt are definitely more capable than some fat b@stards with machine guns.



Shaka Zulu vs. Will Wallace? That Scot would've swung that broadsword and cut Shaka in half before he could've picked up his spear.



IRA vs. Taliban? ... No-one wants to piss off an already angry Irishman. Especially if you're wearing a turban... ever hear of a "Paki-bash"?

I saw part of an episode the other day comparing Vlad the Impaler's sword vs. Sun Tzu's, (Think that's his name, the Chinese warlord that wrote the book on warfare tactics that is still being used today). The Romanian's was longer and more stout. Sure, it could slice a pig cadaver in half with one stroke. The Chinese one could only go 3/4's the way through. But the Asian could stab and slice at about 3 to 4 times the speed. They gave the advantage to the slower sword by a wide margin. I didn't agree with it and turned the channel.



Yeah, I think the show is a load of crap. But I like it better than Top Shot. How does one apply to be a contestant on that anyways? I know I would do better than at least half of the people on there.Who else thinks a lot of the show Deadliest Warrior is full of crap?
The "tests" are staged, as is most of "reality" TV



Last year watched an RPG rocket dip down, and then make a sudden turn/rise to the shed they were blowing up. Almost as if it were a model rocket engine on a wire





EDIT:: Yeah, that's why almost every firearm manufacturer is coming out with several versions of AR rifles. Because of the reliability issues.

The show aside, I wouldn't want to have to face either in the hands of a trained operator, but against level II body armor 200 yards or less, the AK will do anything the M4 will do.



M4s DO NOT jam all the time.Or even often. If you knew how the ARMY kept their weapons, youd be shocked.

You wouldnt treat your weapon that way. If it fails its the lake city ammo and dunk it cleaning that does it.



The show is interesting but hardly definitive in my book. Almost as bad as "Top Shot."
The episodes I've seen (Celts vs. Persian Immortals, Vlad the Impaler vs. Sun Tzu, KGB vs. CIA), on my crap scale of 1 to 10 (1 is Gospel, 10 is an Obama speech), rate an 11.



But I'd like to have that PPK in a briefcase.



To be fair, though, the AK74 is a development of the AK47. Maybe that's what's confusing some people.
Their next episode should be Crap Vs. Piss. They would feed that into the computer and tell you the winner. It's a joke and like most reality tv unfit for the air.

AK47 is an easily constructed durable automatic/semi gun, the m4 isn't as widespread meaning most 3rd world countries don't use m4's as their main gun. The m4 is more accurate than the Ak but the m4 has some reliability issues, like that it jams all the freakin time witch is irritating, the Ak is easily constructed and more common around the globe and almost never jams.
