What weapons would you expect both teams would select and who do you think would come out the winner.

Combat techniques and equipment have evolved so much that I would definitely choose the modern Marine. They have kevlar, like you said, and their guns are so reliable: the M16, SAW, M4, and M60 all fulfill their purpose well. Even though WWII Marines had much more "fight" in them and were fighting to actually protect our nation rather than our interests, modern Marines are so deadly it's not even fair.
Well, if we are dealing with weapons only, of course the modern Marine will win.



He has newer, better weapons. If the WW2 era weapons were better for combat operations, we would still be using them!

if you gave each soldier the same weapons..pinned them in a war environment against each other same age... i can tell you right now modern marines wouldn't have a chance I base this on the fact that WWII was INSANE and most spent years moving through country...the fact is...they went to war at a time when THE WORLD WAS AT WAR modern marines haven't been through anything ,, like WWII but i say this cause it bottom line watch band of brothers..then watch generation kill you ll agree with me by the time your done watch that better yet the opening scene of saving private ryan when they are hitting the beach....it may be a movie but i can tell you it was Very accurate either way both are kick *** but old school is well hardcore no pussy basic like they have now a daysIf there was a deadliest warrior WWII marine vrs Modern Marine?
if you gave them the same equipment I would put my money on the WW II Marine. The young troops today are too fearful of getting hurt or killed. got to have body armor, got have armored Hummers, got to have air strike capability all the time.
No comparison.



Modern marine is much smarter and more educated.



Is in much better physical condition



And receives far more training



Than marines in WW ll did.
Modern Marines

They have the M16A4, the M4A1, the Barret 50 Caliber, and the Desert Eagle. (bonus C4)



They would win over the WW2's M1 Garand and Colt 1911. (and frag)
Obviously the modern marine would win, but a WW2 marine would be more ****** up in the head I would say.
