Shouldn't the vikings killed the SAMURAI in the deadliest warrior?

Vikings had a bad @$$ sword and axe and all the SAMURAI had was the arrow and the clubShouldn't the vikings killed the SAMURAI in the deadliest warrior?
apparently you know little about the samurai. if they had an arrow then they most likely had a bow, in fact they had what would be known as a long bow and were very accurate with it



also, samurai warriors carried a sword and a number of knives



and in case you have forgotten the were highly skilled in the use of these weapons. the use of which is still being taught today by many martial arts instructors
A Viking would utterly destroy a Samurai. Both in a one on one fight, or in a real pitched battle.



Why?



Shields.



Samurai can't deal with shields. None of their training, weapons, or tactics allow for dealing with shields or shield walls. Katanas can't cut through shields, and as the show demonstrated the Tetsubo couldn't defeat it either (splintering the side doesn't mean very much). All a Viking has to do is block, block, block, then throw the Samurai off with a well timed and executed shoulder ram through the shield.



It becomes even more pronounced when we talk about a pitched battle.



How are samurai going to break a shield wall? Speed doesn't count for anything against a wall of Vikings with locked shields. Dodge one sword strike with your speed and you've ducked right into the sword blow of the man next to him.Shouldn't the vikings killed the SAMURAI in the deadliest warrior?
The vikings use smash and grab tactics and generaly picked on cities with less defeneses I don't think theve ever been in a true war. The samurai survived the Sengoku period when every clan was at war. The samurai have more experience and better refined wepons.Shouldn't the vikings killed the SAMURAI in the deadliest warrior?
Samurai had swords too. On the show they show the samurai sword (katana) cleaving through a pig. I would NOT want to mess with them. Plus, the bow and arrow--through the dummy's eyes?!
Samurai would destroy the Viking. When it's speed vs power, i'll go with speed.
